Appointed jointly to the Department for Business and Trade and HM Treasury in September 2025, Lord Stockwood brings extensive private sector experience to his role, having held leadership and board positions at Simply Business, Match.com, Skyscanner, and lastminute.com, as well as investing in early-stage technology companies. He is also co-owner of Grimsby Town Football Club and co-founder of Our Future, a charity supporting long-term renewal in post-industrial towns.
