The Chamber is pleased to announce the visit of Alderwoman Dame Susan Langley, Lady Mayor of the City of London to Australia. She will bring a senior business delegation to explore opportunities to deepen UK–Australia economic ties and investment partnerships.
To mark the occasion, the Chamber will host a breakfast with the Treasurer of New South Wales, The Hon Daniel Mookhey MLC focusing on the role of international capital in supporting growth, innovation, and resilience in a changing world.
The event will bring together senior representatives from government, finance, and industry to discuss how UK and Australian investors can work together to unlock opportunities across sectors including the energy transition, risk and insurance, digital infrastructure and high-growth technology.

Dame Susan Langley is the 697th Lord Mayor of the City of London, the third woman to hold the office, and the first to be styled “Lady Mayor”.
During her year as Lady Mayor, Alderwoman Langley will act as a spokesperson for the City, leading overseas business delegations to key international markets on behalf of the UK financial and professional services industry.
Dame Susan Langley is Chair of Gallagher UK, and the Senior Independent Director for UKAR (Northern Rock Asset Management and Bradford and Bingley). Previously she was the Lead Non-Executive Director for the Home Office, a Trustee for Macmillan Cancer, CEO Financial & Professional Services at the Department for International Trade (DIT), Executive Director North America and Market Development for Lloyd's of London, Director of Lloyd’s Asia and Chairman of Lloyd’s Japan. Prior to this, Susan held various Insurance Board positions. She joined the Insurance Market from PwC where she was a Principal Consultant working with a range of FTSE 100 companies.

Daniel Mookhey was elected to the Parliament of NSW on 6 May 2015 as a Member of the Legislative Council.
The son of Indian migrants, Daniel was the first MP in an Australian Parliament and the first Treasurer to be sworn in on the Hindu religious text, the Bhagavad Gita.
Daniel is a passionate advocate for the people of NSW.
As Treasurer since March 2023, Daniel has delivered three budgets, with a focus on helping the people of NSW with the cost of living, fixing essential services, addressing the housing crisis and driving reform to get the state budget back to a sustainable position.
He has done this at a challenging time for the people of NSW with high inflation and interest rates affecting both family budgets and the state budget.
