Lieutenant General Susan Coyle enlisted as a soldier in the Army Reserves in 1987 before completing a Science degree at the Australian Defence Force Academy and graduating from the Royal Military College in 1992 into the Royal Australian Corps of Signals. Appointed to Chief of Joint Capabilities Group in July 2024, she proudly leads the Space and Cyber Domains and National Support for Defence.
Lieutenant General Coyle has worked at the tactical, operational and strategic levels and is fortunate to have had multiple opportunities to command. Key appointments have included Head Information Warfare, Commander Forces Command, Commander Joint Task Force 633, Commander 6th Brigade, Commander Task Group Afghanistan and Commanding Officer 17th Signal Regiment. She has deployed to Timor Leste, Solomon Islands, Afghanistan and the Middle East.
Lieutenant General Coyle holds three post-graduate Masters and is a Distinguished Graduate of the United States Army War College and an alumnus of the Harvard Advanced Management Program.
Lieutenant General Coyle was appointed a Member of the Order of Australia for Commander Joint Task Force 633, a Distinguished Service Medal as Deputy Commander JTF 636 / Commander Task Group Afghanistan, and a Conspicuous Service Cross as Commanding Officer 17th Signal Regiment. Whilst posted to the United States, she received the U.S. Army Commendation Medal as the 11th Signal Brigade Satellite Engineer.
Susan is married to Mark, an Engineer in the Army, and together they have three wonderful and mostly charming millennials – Jessica, Susie, and Jack. Her hobbies include attending musical theatre, reading anything and travelling anywhere

Danielle Wood commenced a 5-year term as Chair of the Productivity Commission on 13 November 2023.
Prior to joining the Commission, she was CEO of the Grattan Institute and Head of its Budgets and Government Program. During her time at Grattan, Danielle also held roles as member of the Australian Government’s Women’s Economic Equality Taskforce, the Parliamentary Budget Office Expert Advisory Committee, the Jobs and Skills Australia Consultative Forum and the Australia and New Zealand School of Government Research Committee.
Danielle previously worked in senior roles at the ACCC and at NERA Economic Consulting. She started her career as a graduate at the Productivity Commission.
Danielle holds an Honours degree in Economics from the University of Adelaide and two Masters degrees, one in Economics and one in Competition Law, from the University of Melbourne.
Danielle is an Honorary Fellow and former President of the Economic Society of Australia and a Research Fellow of the Women’s Leadership Institute. She was the co-founder and first Chair of the Women in Economics Network.
She is currently an ex-officio member of the Australian Government’s Competition Review Expert Advisory Panel.

Cheng Lei is a Chinese Australian journalist currently working for Sky News in Melbourne. From 2020 while Australia-China relations hit bottom, she was incarcerated for over three years by the Chinese government on spurious charges of leaking state secrets overseas. Concerted diplomatic efforts led to her release in October, 2023.
She was born in China and came to Australia at the age of 10 in 1985. After completing her commerce degree at the University of Queensland, she worked in finance for five years at Cadbury Schweppes and ExxonMobil. In 2000 she returned to China to work for Toll Holdings as a business analyst, after which she changed careers to journalism. From 2002 to 2020, She reported on the Chinese economy and markets for US Network CNBC Asia and China’s Central Television.
She received the Press Freedom Award from the Australian Press Council in 2024 and was the Australian newspaper’s Australian of the Year in 2023. She gave a TED talk on freedom in Vancouver in April, 2025. Lei’s memoir on freedom was published in June, 2025.

Sarah Rosenberg is the Executive Director of With You We Can, an online resource demystifying the police and legal processes for victims of sexual violence while working to improve them.
It equips victims of sexual violence with clear, trauma-informed legal information and supports them to navigate justice on their own terms. By uniting experts, advocates and frontline services, it’s reducing touchpoints for victims while streamlining service delivery.
Through With You We Can, Sarah has become a leading voice for independent legal representation (ILR) for sexual assault complainants, contributing to national and international pilots and shaping policy discussions on victims rights and legal reform. Her advocacy spans strategy, policy development, and frontline collaboration across the gendered violence sector.
