Business Lunch
VIC - David Gonski AC - Chairman, ANZ Banking Group
David Gonski is Chairman of the Australia and New Zealand Banking Group and Coca-Cola Amatil Limited. He was in conversation with Damon Kitney of 'The Australian' at the Chamber lunch, covering a wide range of topics, including some of his views on the nature of philanthropy and education.
David Gonski touched on the notion that genius is classless so it is important to invest in education: that philanthropists could give more to less causes; that he believed in entrepreneurs whose innovation should be applauded; that boards with diversity of gender paid off; that risk taking in the general economy is about right; and that over time there will be a correction in housing.
