The Rebalancing of China

A frank and informative exchange of ideas from our panel looked at several aspects of Australia's business relationship with China. The discussion drew on the personal experiences of the speakers and covered the areas of resources and deal making, as well as trading and social reform.      The pace of modern China's internal growth is impacting on the way of life for business as electronic trading changes the face of retail and real estate, and as the stamping out of corruption looks to make the economy more efficient. The importance of SOE's and private sector investing was also explored, as was the idea of mergers within rail, power and telco's.

Our thanks to panellists :

Doug Ferguson : Partner, Deals Advisory, Partner in Charge, Asia Business Group and China Practice, KPMG
