Queensland – An infrastructure vision for the future
Philip Davies, Chief Executive of Infrastructure Australia and Damian Gould, Chief Executive of Building Queensland will discuss infrastructure priorities, future needs and a strategic framework for the future in a discussion moderated by Chair of Building Queensland, Alan Millhouse.
Philip Davies is an infrastructure executive with over 25 years of experience shaping policy, delivering nationally significant infrastructure projects, and leading reform within the infrastructure sector. As Chief Executive he has a mandate to provide independent expert advice to all levels of government on infrastructure policy and planning. Infrastructure Australia publicly advocates for reforms on key issues including means of funding, financing, delivering and operating infrastructure and how to better plan and utilise infrastructure networks.
Damian is Chief Executive Officer of Building Queensland and brings to his role 20 years of experience across the government and infrastructure sectors and a strong track record in the successful planning and delivery of a broad range of infrastructure projects and programs. In his previous positions with the Queensland Government, Damian played a key role in the planning and delivery of the South East Queensland Water Grid. More recently he led the Queensland Government procurement process for the Toowoomba Second Range Crossing Project. Damian’s other achievements have included lead roles in the establishment of flood recovery programs for the Queensland Reconstruction Authority and Toowoomba Regional Council, and the Queensland Government Wireless Network.
