'Ground breaking workplace gender data - an effective lever to drive change'

On Tuesday 25th November, the Workplace Gender Equality Agency released the inaugural findings from comprehensive gender data provided by Australian employers. This world-leading dataset paints the most extensive picture of gender equality in Australian workplaces and finds employers are largely failing to take a strategic approach to tackle inequality in their workplaces with women making up just one quarter of the top management positions.

Helen Conway, the Director of the Australian Government’s Workplace Gender Equality Agency, spoke very well at the Westin Sydney in front of just over 250 guests. Key areas included: pay equity, gender composition and workplace flexibility.

The ABCC would like to thank PwC, in particular Mr Luke Sayers, for his support on this event.

We would also like to thank Harvey Nash and Bridget Gray for their generous sponsorship.
