Disruptive Technology in the Defence Force

The ABCC was delighted to present a seminar on Disruptive Technology.     The discussion centred around how technology is changing the shape of business and society with subject-matter experts exploring the dichotomy of views on disruptive technology, notably its application and opportunity for Defence. Through an engaging dialogue, the aim was to create greater awareness and understanding on how technology can and will impact the Defence Industry.

The panellists were :
Stuart Mort - Director of Cyber Security, Optus
Steve Worlock - Director for Project Management & Engineering, BAE Systems Australia
Michael Freyny - Executive General Manager for Siemens Process Industries/Drives and Digital Factory divisions in ANZ
Andrew Greene - ABC  National Security and Defence Reporter (Moderator)

He began his career in commercial radio and while at the Seven Network was a finalist in the Walkley Young Journalist of the Year Awards for his coverage of the Navy’s HMAS Success scandal. In 2010 he joined the ABC and has reported from Afghanistan, Iraq, the United States and Europe for the ABC, as well as assignments across Australia such as the Queensland floods.
