What are the benefits of exporting for a small business?

Current economic gloom and stagnating traditional markets, with little by way of growth predicted, means that UK companies in many cases need to look to new markets for growth.

Exporting gives companies access to and profile in new markets, new revenue streams, and spreads the risks to that business. It is also likely that as a result of exporting, an organisation can become more nimble, with a more responsive and innovative culture.
