Sir Jackie Stewart, three times Motor Racing World Champion took 27 wins from 99 starts, retiring from racing in 1973.

Sir Jackie founded Paul Stewart Racing in 1989 and in 1996 founded Stewart Grand Prix. In 1997, Stewart Grand Prix took its first podium (2nd place) in only its fifth outing in Monaco. In 1999, Stewart Grand Prix took its first pole position in France and also its first win at the Nurburgring in Germany, taking an overall fourth place in the Constructors Championship. In 1999 the team was sold to Ford who were to rebrand it as Jaguar for the 2000 season. Sir Jackie stood down as Chairman of Jaguar Racing at the beginning of the 2000 season and became an RBS Global Ambassador in 2003.
